Authors will be notified in regards to the reception of manuscripts within 48 hours. Format changes and clarifications of sections may be requested.
Submitted manuscripts will be treated confidentially by all participants in the review process.
Manuscripts are pre-evaluated by an Editorial Committee, which may reject a manuscript according to the next editorial criteria: presentation, style and format, quality of figures and tables, theme scope outside the RBMO, robustness of the data, grammatical aspects and general organization of the manuscript. Manuscripts considered imprecise or inadequate will be returned to their authors without external revision.
Manuscripts that follow the editorial criteria of RBMO will be sent for external evaluation. Our peer review process establishes that authors and referees remain anonymous to each other. If an author is directly related to the journal, they are automatically excluded from the review process for that manuscript.
The acceptance of manuscripts is decided by the Editor based on the recommendation of referees and Associate Editors and requires the suggested approval from at least two referees. The Editor formally informs the author the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript.
Accepted manuscripts are edited and returned to the corresponding author for revision and approval. All authors are responsible for the contents of works, including changes done during editing and production that are previously authorized by the corresponding author.
Accepted manuscripts are published in strict chronologically order according to the date of acceptance. Unauthorized pre-publishing of the manuscript may be result in rescinding the acceptance, and the rejection of its publication.
